One of the best ways to choose a celebrant is to get to know them a little and essentially do a vibe check… this is a luxury that you don’t get with a registrar but it’s a step that I love because I think it’s important that you get along with the person who is going to officiate such and important day in your life. So here are 5 facts about me..

  • I have had curly hair my entire life, but I didn’t always love it, in fact in my 30s I spent hundreds of pounds getting it chemically straightened… (what a waste of money!) but now I fully embrace it, it’s part of me!
  • I have been in Rock Choir since 2024 in Warrington and I LOVE it… it was one of the best decisions I ever made deciding to join and I have performed with the choir at The Edinburgh Festival and at the BBC in Salford for Comic Relief!
  • I love Christmas but before the pandemic I was in the camp “keep Christmas in December” – but now I think “who cares” and if it makes you happy, you should just do it. So now our Christmas decs go up whenever we want!
  • I have mostly (up until now) worked in the voluntary sector and have been lucky enough to support some amazing charities including, The Prince’s Trust (now The Kings Trust), The Royal British Legion, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital , and We Are With You (formerly Addaction).
  • I have been married to the love of my life “M” since 2012 but we have been together since 2003! He first proposed to me in A&E – but maybe that’s a story for another time 😉

But my career changed in 2025 and I am now an independent celebrant, certified by The Academy of Modern Celebrancy, with a big passion for making ceremonies truly personal and joy-filled! After spending over 25 years working in learning & development, supporting people to succeed from all over the world, I decided it was time to bring my love for people, storytelling, and celebration into a new chapter.

I’m especially passionate about creating inclusive, meaningful ceremonies that embrace neurodiversity and reflect the uniqueness of every individual. Whatever the occasion, I’ll work with you to craft a ceremony that feels just right – warm, welcoming, and completely you.

But that’s enough about me… tell me about you….. ⤵
